PRAYERS FOR A GREAT POPE
.. News of Pope John Paul's worsening condition is disconcerting not only for Catholics but to all peoples of all faiths. We pray for the Pope's recovery and we pray for the whole Church to be strong and faithful during this excruciating time.

BREAK IT TO ME GENTLY
.. It had to take a cool site to wake me up from my blogging stupor. You've had bad days where companies and businesses did not deliver a good service and I'm sure you hated it. Here's a site where you are given an opportunity to blow off some steam and for a good cause. What about government? We haven't even started the litany.

APPEAL TO HUMANITY
..This is a devastating case especially to the global reputation of
Habitat For Humanity. In a time when the world all the more needs to build communities and foster self-reliance to combat poverty, these allegations should be settled once and for all so as not to affect negatively Habitat's mission and vision. Inspite of the allegations, the whole world should not lose out on such a noble undertaking.

LITTLE BROWN AMERICANS
..Look for Uncle Sam to save the day everytime the Philippines needs a helping hand. If locals have to reach out thousands of miles away in Montana to save a dying restaurant, there is something terribly wrong with the local economy. Just don't look to Uncle Sam to replenish the denuded forests or feed the poor and the hungry. That would be too much to ask right,
Pidro?

A BLACK POPE?
..Seems like a sight to behold - a black man in an all white and immaculate robe. Everyone is aware that Pope John Paul will not live forever and speculation about his would be successor is proliferating. A truly seismic event equal to if not greater than
Karol Wojtyla's elevation to the papacy during the year 1978 would be a Pope coming from a third world country where two-thirds of all Catholics live. I guess it's up to the hands of the Holy Ghost.

SCAM TIME
..It's that time of year when vultures circle in and swoop down on unsuspecting and desperate people. The tax season will have more losers than winners if people don't wise up and pay attention to what you can and can't claim. Beware of tax saving strategies that seem too good to be true. Chances are you're right on the money.
