ode to the old
..first they put them in nursing homes and now some people want to strip away from old people the right to be happy at the risk of failing health. are we led to believe that the joy of being with grandchildren is not worth the trouble of increased stress they bring about? i am not discounting the scientific evidence presented here. i am talking about the immeasurable joy grandparents experience being with young kids. if you talk to them, i bet they wouldn't exchange spending time with their loved ones to an extra day of living stress-free. that priviledged time is priceless.
