Tivo's nemesis: cable's DVR
..finally a worthy competitor to Tivo. if you are a Time Warner digital cable subscriber, now you can record and replay 35 hours worth of shows through the DVR (digital video recorder) for a fraction of the cost of Tivo - an extra $8.95 on your monthly cable bill. that's not a lot considering you don't need any special equipment other than a special cable box. now you don't have to run home to make sure you don't miss your favorite shows, just program them to record in advance. now that's what i call real living.
