CREDIT CARD NATION
..The total consumer debt incurred by Americans is alarming to say the least. The economy may be recording historic highs but consumers should not take comfort in that fact. Jobs will not be as plentiful as before since globalization and outsourcing will keep some jobs out of the North American continent. That means quality of life will ultimately go down as wages continue to be depressed and consumers find themselves in deep debt with no relief in sight. The government should teach people how to save by showing it can cut the deficit down and restrain spending.
