..The
case against the exploitation of the most famous reject of "American Idol" is building. William Hung may represent what's good about America and the "American Dream" but there is a long history of Oriental stereotyping that Asian Americans find hard to forget. Why focus on his singing non-talent when we can focus on other aspects of his life that are worth emulating? People are just riding on his infamous gig in American Idol but they are really not serious about his singing. He is a collective result of people's deep-seated fantasy and yearning for fame that may never come for most. He should divert people's attention away from his singing by not accepting all these invitations to perform and instead focus on other things like the comic and intellectual abilities he's supposed to possess.
