DOOMSDAY PART 2
..The MyDoom virus strikes again even attacking venerable sites such as Google. What is Microsoft doing about these never-ending breaches in their security? Apparently not enough to assuage fears from ordinary people that the company is losing it having to fight flat earnings and an unexciting future. Come to think of it, have you talked about Microsoft lately? Other than the cash that management unloaded to its shareholders recently, what is there to hope for in the company? The virus menace seems impregnable and people are resigned to this cyber intrusion into their lives. But other people have moved on including moi who are singing praises about Apple. Hop on and discover for yourself.

..With obesity exploding especially among children in America today, the video game Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) should be aggressively promoted as a tool in helping combat obesity. CELLPHONE MARKETING
..Marketers in the U.S. are now waking up to the boundless possibilities cellphones have in making money. Foremost among these features is text messaging and American teenagers are now catching up on their European and Asian counterparts. Soon your phone will become a micro pc and/or television where everything is literally at your fingertips.

CELLPHONE MENACE
..A law with stiff penalties should be passed against cellphone use in commercial commute. I just came back from a trip to Orlando and it was horrible not being able to concentrate due to a self-important jerk blaberring about his business on his cellphone. The only way is to standardize the rules so people are made aware that there is something not quite right when some people don't care about the inconvenience they are causing the vast majority.

CATHOLIC CHURCH VS. KERRY
..Although there is ambiguity regarding the U.S. Conference of Bishops' stand regarding politicians who disagree with the Church's stand on abortion and euthanasia, the Vatican is unambiguous in their desire to tow the line to official Catholic teaching. This presents a challenge to priests and bishops in the United States who are sensitive to charges that denying politicians communion stand the risk of politicizing the Eucharist and further blurring the line that separates Church and State that is the bedrock of Jeffersonian democracy.
