TALK IS CHEAP

.. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em! Google is joining the ranks of behemoths AOL, MSN and Yahoo in the instant messaging market. So much chatting and yet all these softwares are still not able to talk to each other. Interoperability remains elusive as well as the profits and it remains to be seen whether the company can parlay this into a profitable venture. Not that Google needs the money but the extra feature of VOIP server and client package might just shake up the telecom market and enable Google to surpass Microsoft as the tech company to watch. Is Google the next Microsoft? Will this give birth to Google haters all over the globe who will try to bring the young company down? Not likely and so far the company is playing its cards right with its innovative products, the same path that Microsoft used to tread. Who knows?
